If you are a Democrat, proud of what your party stands for but let down by the corruption and cronyism that has diminished your government, there is a place for you here.

If you are a Republican, who believes in the principles of your party, but desire to be a contributor to reform rather than a loyal opponent, there is a place for you here.

No matter where your party loyalties rest, if you believe in partnership instead of partisanship, there is a place for you at the table of reform. Because, like yours, Ken Lanci’s loyalties as an Independent rest solely with what's best for Cuyahoga County.

Come to our table. There is enough room for everyone. And we won't check your party-ID at the door. Ideas will be more important than "D's.” Reform will be more important than "R's.” And Independence will be more important than ideology.

We need to work together.

When Ken Lanci uses the term “We,” he doesn’t mean “We Democrats” or “We Republicans.” He means “everyone.” He has already demonstrated he’s the only true Independent willing to solicit ideas from, and offer a platform to, Cuyahoga County Council candidates of both parties on his radio show. That is the kind of executive he will be. Open only to the best ideas, regardless of which party they come from.

We need to rid the county halls of corruption.

Favors in return for campaign contributions have no place in the new government. By working for $1 a year, Ken Lanci will be donating more than $1 million dollars in salary, pension and pension benefits back to the county, leaving the days of pay-to-play where they belong—in the past. He is refusing money from corporations, PACS and county employees and has limited contributions to a maximum of $250 per person because he believes that is the only way to rid the county halls of corruption and end political favoritism. He wants to go into office not owing anyone, anything.
